Reggie Brown could be back in the lineup

Downtown Reggie Brown could be back in the lineup on Sunday. Kevin Curtis and Hank Baskett both look like they will not be able to get on the field. Reggie has been deactivated for the last 2 weeks as players like Jason Avant, Hank Baskett, and Desean Jackson have imerged this year. Reggieeeee has not been happy about his lack of playing time apparently saying no one has told him why he is sitting. Well I can give you a clue Reggie maybe its because the team drafted you 4 years ago too be the future at wide receiver and you have been more inconsistent then Andy Reids bow movements( sorry big red).  Reggie has shown signs especally in his second year, late in the seasonwith Jeff Garica.

But it has always seemed that Reggie and Donovan have never gotten on the same page and with Desean Jackson possibly becoming a number one type receiver, Curtis being a solid number two, and Avant emerging in the slot there is no room for Regggggggggieee( I type it like Eddie Murphy says it too Dave Chappelle in Nutty Professer). I still think he has some talent and could be a solid number 2 or 3 but he does not look like standout  wide out. Reggie will have a chance to prove me and the coaching staff wrong I sure hope soo if I remember correctly he has had some good games against the skins.

Are we over looking the Redskins ……

You know I talk too a lot of other Eagles fans during the week and this week one thing is bothering me. Every one seems to think we are going to roll over the skins and win big. Everybody thinks its going to come down too the high drama much more hyped game against the Cowgirls next week. I really really hope that the players are focused. The Redskins look like they are a mess right now losing to the Bengals last week, but, i think this team is going to go back to smash mouth football this week. I think Jim Zorn has gotten away from what made him a 5-2 football team early on and that means running the rock. The Birds D has too be ready too stop the run.

Also I hope Andy sticks with his balance approach against the skins we should have beat them the first time and if we beat them the 2nd time it will not be easy………If anything I have learned from being an Eagles all these years when we play the Skins or Giants no matter what the records something weird will happen and its going too be tighter then your girlfriend on prom night (depending on what high school you go too this means a close game)

Brand seperates shoulder and Sixers win

The Sixers did come back and win last night and to be honest with you looked much better as a team with young guys flying up and down the court to get a comeback win over the Bucks. Having said that losing Elton Brand for a long period of time is not a good thing hopefully he will be back sooner rather then later.

B-Dawk and Sante make the Pro Bowl

B-Dawk made his 7th Pro Bowl yesterday and Asante made his 2nd. B-Dawk after starting slow has been playing like a maniac latley which is nice too see a lot of it had to do with his name but this future hall of famer deserves to be there. Plus he makes the pro bowl a little bit more fun to watch since you never know when he might snap and actually break some  AFC reciver’s neck off……… Asante should have about 5 more INTS he has had the dropsy’s all year along even when he took one too the house on monday he let the ball go.  His stats do not look as impressive but  in my opionion he has played at a Pro Bowl level all year you rarely see him beat on a play and his closing speed is like nobody i have ever seen. The Eagles have the 9th best defense in football and I would say that Stewart Bradley and Ouintin Mikell could have got some votes as well but these players need to get better known league wide. And for the life me I dont understand how John Runyan is not in the pro bowl ever year the guy is a stud every game he plays well and he plays hurt every year and never misses a game. I know a lot of players and coaches think he is dirty but this guy should have been to the pro bowl more times.

B-Dawk likes to Party!!!

Big win for the birds. They did what they had to do and beat a bad team. It was frustriting to watch them go 2-7 in the red zone. Some dumb play calls at the one yard line a fade patteren too Hank Baskett why not just ram it home with Eckel or Buck? Either way nice win and two big showdowns with the Redskins and Cowgirls a wait us.

Jamie Moyer re-signs and Chan Ho Park signs on for the 5th spot

The Phillies will have a press conference at 4:00 today too announce the re-signing of 46 year old Jamie Moyer. This is a great move for the Phils even at his age Jamie has been our most clutch pitcher the last 3 years and he will continue to drop knowledge on young phillies pitchers.

The Phils also signed Chan Ho Park to compete for the 5th spot. If he does not win that role he could be a long relief guy in the bullpen.

MNF at the Linc

We all know the story the Eagles must win there remaining games to have a shot at getting in the playoffs. The Buggles helped us out with beating the skins yesterday but we had no such help from the Giants last night. This will be the easiest game left on the schedule which could be a trap game with the skins and cowgirls looming. I highly doubt it I think the Birds run away with a big win tonight. I will be down at the Linc tonight getting wild and crazy!! EAGLES!!!

Crosby Sucks!!!

Big Flyers win today 6-3 over the Pens. I was down there and was very lucky to have seats 8 rows from the ice. Thanks go out to my cousin Ray and his bride to be Brit!! However it was very unlucky for Sidney Crosby because I was giving him sh”t all day. The building was electric tonight every time the lets go flyers chanted started it turned into crosby sucks, crosby sucks, crosby sucks and it seemed to throw the kid off his game. The Flyers took the energy from Thursdays nights comeback win and brought that right into the first period with 2 power play goals. Mike Richards, Scott Hartnell, and Jeff Carter scored again. The best part of the day had to be an all out brawl that started in the upper levels near the fat  dude who does the humpty dance every 3rd period of every game. It looked like some toothless and crossed eyed Pens fan decided to jump in camera view of our favorite dancing flyer fan and all hell broke lose. The Flyers fans and Wacovia security started beating the piss out of the pens fan. Once again showing why we are the best fans in the world, just sticking up for a big man trying to get his running man on. 

MO CHEEKS LAID OFF ………

Mo Cheeks was fired today after the Sixers 9-14 start. I don’t think this is all his fault but somebody needed to take the blame so no mo cheeks. This team just does not fit the way it was built. Elton Brand and Iggy on the same team is not the right mixture. Having said this I believe this team has a lot of young talent and can still make the playoffs but I think other things need to change.  Tony Dileo will take over for now but don’t be surprised if you see fast Eddie Jordan in here coaching before the end of the season.
